Here's something I wrote a few months ago:
“I want to go swimming.”
“I want to drink something sweet.”
“I’ve changed my mind. I want to eat a juicy plumb in the shade of a tree.”
“I can’t stop imagining a plumb the size of a human head. It would be heavy. Perhaps heavier because it is so dark and purple.”
“I would get bored once the plumb was eaten. Maybe I would sleep under the tree if I had a blanket to lie on, afterwards.”
“Do you care about important things?”
“Sometimes, when I need to.”
