War Hike

on Saturday I went on a war hike with my friends Kath & Lee.

Unlike lighting bolts, the limbing bolts were easy to avoid.

The war was fought between hollow masked bears (with bluescreen technology!)...

...and suspiciously cute children fixed (or were they...) to a merry-go-round.

Lee has a weird way of walking. Here he bends sideways to avoid the bullet my camera fires every time I take a picture (haven't figured how to turn off that "feature" yet).

I found this amazing wheel. If you look into it...

...you see a rock. But if you try to reach in and grab the rock, something bites you. I don't know what it is! ...maybe the rock?

There were some tiny starfish on this shell before Kath MURDERED THEM.

I buried the starfish next to these slightly more wooden starfish.

I was laughed at.

Thanks for the hike, Lee & Kath!

AND, today I reached a goal. I swam 70 laps (140 lengths) at the pool. That's almost 3 miles! ...and yes, that probably is why this post is so weird (endorphins make you... different... unreasonably happy mmmm).

I'm worried about you. It seems that your grasp on reality is warping before or very eyes. Perhaps the inverted gravitational field down there is unravelling your DNA. I think you should start swimming in the opposite direction as soon as possible. And don't take any wooden starfish. By the way, the books arrived and I will mail them off. Can you please confirm the correct address to send them to?

Hi Raphe! I like the picture of you looking, well, looking sort of maybe NONPLUSSED while looking through that bitey wheel thingy and wearing a dinky* little fisherman's hat.

*lest your hat take offense, I don't mean to say that dinkiness is, strictly speaking, necessarily a bad thing.
